The Breathing Code
Today we finished the code. It's almost like its alive! Dr.Hudson and Dr.Quinn worked hard on it and so did the rest of the team! i'm currently set to watch the code as it starts learning its purpose, and to be honest.. I'm not even sure what it's made for.. Dr.Hudson said its special. I tried asking him how it's special. I mean it's just a code in a computer after all, right? He wouldnt give me a stright answer or would just avoid the question like its the plage. Dr.Quinn said it's just how Hudson is. But i've been around Hudson and have never seen him this off.
I'm back from my lunch break, the code welcomed me by name.. I never told it my real name. I reported this to Dr.Hudson and he said he was in there while i was gone to keep the code running and look for issues, like bugs or viruses. I thought nothing of it and brought it up to Dr.Quinn. To say she looked scared was a understatement. She told me she was with Hudson the whole break and that no one had been allowed in the room since i'd left. So he lied to me about being there but im not sure why he felt the need to do so. She told me not to confront him about this situation. I chose to anyway.
When i confronted him about lying to me he seemed surprised, stumbling over his words as he tried to explain himself, saying that i "Wouldnt understand why he did it." And dismissing my concern. Despite all of that i went back to the computer room where the code was. It seemed curious and asked where i had went and why i looked upset. I explained what happened to the Ai and it seemed to actually feel bad and understand how i felt. It started explaining itself and what happened, saying it had access to facility files and looked up my name in the database using my work ID. Why are we giving an Ai access to our important company files? Especally since this code is clearly off in a way. Who's to say that this Ai wont go insane and start leaking our stuff? I need to talk to HR about this. But knowning them they wont do jack. They hardly do anything and i bet they didnt greenlight this experiment.. But i dont want to get fired or get anyone in trouble because i know i'll be endangered or stalked because people that work here are INSANE. I literally had a co-worker who was stalked by the Ex CEO after he got fired for embezzling funds out of the work place because she's the one that found it out and brought it up to HR. Safe to say i wont try and be the "Hero" of this. I'll just sit quiet and do whatever thats thrown at me. Even if it kills me.
Its been 3 days since the Ai was first created. Things have been going smoothly.. Is what i would say if it WAS going smoothly. Fucking Hudson (the idiot man he is) somehow leaked a infected code into the Ai!! And HE wants ME to fix HIS issue!!?? For fucks sake man. He always does this shit, he causes an issue and then makes ME fix it.. Not even Dr.Quinn... WHOS LITERALLY MORE EXPERIANCED THAN I AM. So now i've gotta sit in this fuck ass room more than i have to just because Hudson couldnt stop fucking around with the code. Right now i would be on my lunch break but NOOOOOO. I gotta sit with this dumb Ai and babysit it like its a human 5 year old.
